Zelensky threatened the Russian Federation with a powerful response to Kiev's shelling on Independence Day (video)

The President stressed that the risks of shelling on Independence Day are the same as any other day from the beginning of a full-scale war. On Independence Day, Russia can hit infrastructure and state bodies in Ukraine. The head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this at today's briefing after meeting with President Andrzej Duda. "We know the priorities [RF] - by infrastructure objects or state institutions," he commented.

The head of state noted that there is a risk of shelling on August 24, but it is the same as any other day since the beginning of a full-scale war in Ukraine. "I do not see something very much starting from the first day, from February 24. Russia is constantly doing it. Can they increase the number of these blows? Yes, they can do the 23 and 24th," the President stressed. Zelensky also added that if the occupiers are beaten in Kiev, Ukraine will respond instead.

"What will Ukraine do if they beat in Kiev? The same thing is now. Because for me as a president, I am sure, as for every Ukrainian, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Donbas, Kharkiv, Zaporozhye - our Ukrainians live there everywhere. So the answer will be the same as in these cities. They will be bombing us - they will receive a response, a powerful answer, "the head of state said. He also emphasized that Ukraine's response is growing every day, and this will continue to happen.
