"Sanctions for a long time": Putin urged the Russians to prepare for life without Western goods (video)

The Kremlin head believes that the replacement of sub -goods will allow the Russian Federation to fulfill goals for strategic development. Anti -Russian sanctions have been imposed for a long time, so it is necessary to work out "medium -term and long -term import substitution measures". This was stated on April 4 by the Kremlin head Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council for Industry Development in the conditions of sanctions.

He stressed that replacing import technologies and products is an important step. In his opinion, this should be done first, since medium and long -term transformations seem to help Russia fulfill the strategic goals of the country's sovereign development. "We all understand, sanctions, of course, for a long time," said the Russian dictator.

During the speech, the President of the Russian Federation tried to explain to his citizens that he needs to prepare for long processes for replacing goods and products from the civilized world. The consequences of the war against Ukraine forced the Russian authorities to begin supporting industry, as well as to look for ways to replace import products.

We will remind, on March 29, Putin called sanctions against the Russian economy "illegitimate", as restrictions can adversely affect the development of the state. In the past, the Kremlin leader has repeatedly stated that Western sanctions did not cause significant harm to his country, but in the spring of 2023 he acknowledged that the restrictions introduced may have some effect.

According to Bloomberg on March 22, Russia is buying champagne in third countries, and Turkey and the United Arab Emirates help to bypass sanctions. Russian refugees in the Gulf countries stimulated the level of alcoholic beverages. In 2022, France sent 75% more champagne bottles to the emirates than in 2021.
