"Everything will rest on the de -occupation." Interview with Energoatom Head Peter Kotin - About the IAEA's stay on the ZPP and consequences for the racists

Petro Kotin, President of Energoatom (Photo: Energoatom / Facebook) CEO Rafael Grossi, during a mission at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, was said to gather important information. "The key things I had to see, I saw, the explanations were very clear," he said. However, the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak was surprised that the visit of the expert delegation was so fleeting. The IAEA noted that experts remain in the station.

Video of the day of which conclusions to expect after the IAEA stay in the territory of the ZPE, in an interview with Radio NV told the President of the State Enterprise NAEK Energoatom Petro Kotin. - The IAEA mission works at the Zaporozhye NPP. Some of the experts, together with the manager, left the station. They were there for several hours. What is the situation now? - I and the Minister of Energy [Herman] Galushchenko accompanied the mission to our checkpoint during their travel to Energodar.

They also met the mission that returned in the evening after they examined the Zaporizhzhya NPP site and evaluated under pressure from Russian invaders and so -called journalists (and in fact propagandists) the situation at the station. There are now four people - technical [experts] and two people who are engaged in the safeguard (Safeguard). In fact, they are engaged in fuel.

The task of these two people is to determine that all the fuel that is at the Zaporozhye NPP is used in accordance with our IAEA agreement, and that there is no loss of this nuclear material, it is under seals (in fact); And that the history of storage of this fuel is continuous, that all information on the movement of this fuel is available and controlled. - Did the IAEA of the power units have established? - This is a task for the safe.

All atomic reactors, all the fuel that is there is under the seal of the IAEA. They will check that all the seals are where they need to be that the television signal that shows the status of these seals goes to the IAEA that everything corresponds to the agreement that is between us and the IAEA. That's what two people do. The other four people now carry out a technical assessment of the risks that exist at the station. And this is all caused by the fact that there are racist invaders.

I know some experts from this technical group. With some of these experts, I myself participated in the IAEA missions earlier, which even take more time - 20 days. I have been with them at some stations in the world and I know that they are very professional people: they do not need to hang a paw on their ears, they have eyes and see everything that happens there - they do not need any comments on the rashist side.

- Can we conclude that there is no interference with fuel storage so far? Did experts have already made such a conclusion? - We control this issue from day after day, because it is constantly in contact with the staff at the station. We know that with nuclear fuel all is well, that is, it is in the places where he needs to be, and all these fillings that need the IAEA are there. We also have the question: after overloading two units, put the same seals.

These people - two safgards - will also do it. The main question of those four people who are technical experts and will give their conclusions about violation of the physical security of the station, about violation of nuclear-radiation safety. There are many issues that are there. We and the station gave preliminary information. The fact that all the representatives of Rosatom lied around the mission - this, I think, will not take into account the mission.

It will not be for the benefit of the racists, but on the contrary. - Do you manage to communicate with the Director of IAEA Grossi after returning from the Zaporizhzhya station? - Yes, we were waiting for him for a checkpoint. He left the car and we talked to him with the Minister of Energy. What he said, I cannot pass you, but it inspires me careful optimism. The mission has just begun. The IAEA experts will be present at the station.

This is what he sets his task and thus [follow] nuclear, radiation, and physical safety disorders. We will gradually move to the safe condition of the station and to its safe operation. Of course, this will require the de -occupation of the station. I think everyone understands it, including experts. We will see how Mr Grosssey will be able to embody this idea. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said this.

We believe that this is a basic and ultimatical solution that will cause the station to work safely under our control. But through the procedures that exist in the IAEA, we understand that what they have done is just the first step. They should gradually come to this decision (about the de -occupation - ed. ). - Why did Mr Grosssey only stay at the Zaporozhye NPP for a few hours? Has he enough time to draw some conclusions for himself? - He is an official.

And from the very beginning so [not long] and planned to be. The mission itself was planned that it comes to the station, makes a general tour, studies the basic issues and leaves the experts that now, I hope, work in enhanced mode. They will make the main conclusions. These conclusions will be laid in the relevant document that will be transferred to the vein of Mr. Grossi. After that, he will discuss them with the Ukrainian side - with us (energy - ed.

) As with the operator, with the Ministry of Energy and Ukraine as a whole. This will then be an official document that will provide recommendations. We only understand that whatever recommendations are, without the de -occupation of the station it will not be possible to follow them. Therefore, everything here will rest on the de -occupation. According to Grossi, they cannot require it directly. But all they write will need to be de -occupation as a prerequisite.

- What is the regulation of work for IAEA experts who have left to work at the Zaporozhye station. How much are they delayed? Is it possible to say that the IAEA mission will be permanent? - From the information that I know today: it is only planned to do so. The situation can change at any time. Two people will remain for the long period at the Zaporozhye NPP. Others will leave the station in two to three days. And during this time, this technical report should be ready.

- How did the station staff survey occur? Communication happened under the supervision of the invaders? The same can affect the information picture. - We know that they selected a special group of residents of Energodar, who distributed photos of shelling. They were very intensively in intensive last day. And they gave these residents photos. With them, they came to Gross, more precisely he was brought to the crowd of people.

And they all in turn showed that "here is my housing, you see, the results of shelling of the Armed Forces of the city of Energodar. " That is, the racists try to make a picture that they do not do provocations, firing the city and the station, but [trying] to accuse the armed forces of this [Ukraine]. We will see if Grossi will talk about it at all, but after he returned from the occupation zone yesterday, a few words said it.

He did not respond to the information of the station representatives of the station who were present to all the provocations that he brought to him under the guise of the residents of Energodar. I can't even tell you whether they were residents or the rashists of the Mashovka, which has nothing to do with the energy. Look at this [Renata] Karchau, a representative of Rosatom (adviser to the CEO - Ed. ), But in fact, a scammer from Abkhazia. He is a traitor of Georgia.

He made a career on this, moved to Moscow. And now he in Energodar, leading [the mission] territory of the station, not understanding anything in the nuclear power or in the Ukrainian legislation. And the mission comes and it must be met by the person who is responsible [for it] - this is the operator, the CEO. But this Karchaa - an expert in Baltic Station, ran around the station, led a mission and showed fragments of shells, missiles that did not break and told how she flew.
