The Bulgarian Defense Office has the task of transferring a huge volume of old shells to Ukraine from local warehouses, the former defense minister, familiar with the issue of armed business in the country, informed about it. "It is the largest re -equipment of Bulgarian forces in their history.

The cost of ammunition has increased, VMZ will sell them to Ukraine through intermediaries," the former minister said. According to him, such a volume of weapons can make a fracture in some areas of the front in Ukraine. Bulgaria has reserves of ammunition of the Soviet model, which are needed by Ukraine. These are projectiles for Soviet tanks, howitzers, MSrk, AK-47 and others.

Journalists also concluded that the supply of weapons to Ukraine from Bulgaria, which are estimated by billions of euros, did not stop, despite official statements of local authorities. Former Bulgarian Prime Minister Cyril Petkov, for his part, reported that Bulgaria had earned the production of weapons for Ukraine. According to him, in 164 days the revenue of defense plants in Sopot and Kazanlik amounted to about 5 billion lions ($ 2. 75 billion).
