Finland will reduce the issuance of tourist visas to the Russians
Finland plans to significantly reduce the number of tourist visas issued to the Russians. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pekka Kaavisto country, Yle reports. According to him, about a thousand applications are received from the Russians every day. In the future, this number can be reduced to 100-200 per day.
Video of Kaavisto said that the Ministry is preparing a special model according to which priority will be given to applicants who seek a visa, for example, for family circumstances, work or study. "I believe that such a decision would be quite reasonable," the Foreign Minister said. He stressed that the most important would be to develop an EU's common position on visas for Russian citizens. At the same time, he recalled that Finland could make decisions at the national level.
