For Europe, the right end of the war in Ukraine is important, because a temporary truce will mean a new escalation from the Russian Federation in the future - Mikhail Podolyak

The negotiation process with Russia to end the war is now unprofitable for both Ukraine and Europe, since any temporary truce will mean continued aggression by the Russian Federation in the future. This was stated by the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with the German edition of Bild. “The negotiation process today will fix a temporary truce in a war that will not be completed.

Accordingly, the Russian Federation will consider it a victory and will continue to claim its expansionist policy. Therefore, the truce will now mean only the next stage of the war in some time, ”he said. Mikhail Podolyak also noted that in the event of such an incomplete end of the war, many of our citizens will not risk returning to Ukraine, investments will not come. "It will be a" gray zone "that will grow and which will constantly press on Europe.

Europe will be forced to constantly invest a lot of money here to somehow maintain this territory in a viable state. It is unprofitable in Europe in the medium -term and long term, ”says adviser to the Presidential Office Head. In his opinion, Germany and other EU countries, the negotiation process is unprofitable today, as it provokes Russia on more bold behavior in economic, political, diplomatic terms.

Mikhail Podolyak noted that in Ukraine the quality of life is significantly reduced due to the war, and in Europe there will also be some deterioration. “But this is a fee for such an intense war that has not been from the Second World War. And this war should be completed properly if you do not want to pay all the time, ”he said.
