Poland called for expeling the Russian Federation from the IAEA

Poland's climate minister and the environment, Anna Moscow called to exclude Russia from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). "At the time we are sitting here, the territories of Ukraine are occupied by Russian troops. We demand derusification of occupied territories and demilitarization. By that time, Russia must be stopped as a member of the IAEA. If they do not meet these conditions, they must be excluded from the organization," - said the minister.

Energoatom reported that Russia is preparing to disconnect the Zaporozhye NPP from the power system of Ukraine. On August 25, Russian invaders provoked the first in the history of the NPP temporary disconnection from the power grid. The last Zaporizhzhya NPP stopped work on September 11 because of the regular Russian shelling, which damaged all communication lines.

On September 1, despite the obstacles from the Russian invaders, the IAEA delegation of 14 experts visited the Zaporozhye NPP in the temporarily occupied energy. Experts, led by the CEO of the Agency Rafael Grosssey, spent several hours in the territory. There are two permanent representatives of the mission at the station. As noted in Energoatom, the Russians have made every effort to prevent the MAIM mission to get acquainted with the real situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
