The ammunition has two features - a jet engine and wings that open in flight. The maximum lesion can be 120 km. The Russian Air Forces began to use the Grim-E1 hybrid rocket, created on the basis of the Soviet X-38. This became known from the roller on the network, reports focus. In the published roller somewhere in the field, the remains of the rocket were found, as stated, it is Grim-E1. This is evidenced by the characteristic wings of ammunition, which are opened in flight.

The second feature of ammunition is the presence of a jet engine - it increases the range of the projectile to 120 km. However, it is possible to reach such a height only in the case of dropping from a maximum height of 12 km. The velocity of the carrier should also be 1600 km/h. Failure to comply with these requirements is greatly reduced. At a height of 5 km it will already be about 35 km. The weight of the controlled rocket is 594 kg and the combat part is 315 kg.

There is also a "Grim-E2" version without an engine, in this version, the lesion is reduced to 65 km and weight to 165 kg. The rocket is aimed at the GPS satellite system and the inertial system. The first demonstration of development took place in 2015. Until 2019, the Russian Federation was stated by the completion of the trials of both versions of the rocket. However, there was no order from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for missile production.
