Poland will start building a fence on the border with Russia in a few weeks

The contractor is already preparing a project, which will submit for approval by the Border Service of Poland. The fence will be equipped with motion sensors and camcorders. In March it is planned to start construction of a barrier at the border with the Kaliningrad region of Russia. According to Anna Mikhalskaya Lieutenant, the electronic system on this site should cover almost 200 km of land border. About it reports Polskie Radio.

It is known that the contractor is already preparing a project, which will submit approval to the Border Service. Thanks to the system of sensors and cameras, experts will be able to monitor the border 24/7, regardless of weather conditions. There will be no need to be directly on the border line. The algorithms are designed so that the border guard can only respond to real attempts to cross the line by people.

It is noted that last year the Polish border guards recorded 11 cases of illegal border crossing from Russia. We will remind, in August last year on the border of Lithuania with Belarus, the construction of a physical barrier, which is a fence and barbed wire. It was installed on the border sections of about 502 km long. Focus also wrote that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Finland offered 6 million euros for the construction of a fence at the border with the Russian Federation.
