According to journalists, the delegation of the Ministry of Commerce of Afghanistan is in Moscow to conclude contracts for the supply of wheat, gas and oil. Negotiations on gasoline supply from the Russian Federation to Afghanistan are in the final stage. The Taliban delegation is now in Moscow, reports Reuters with reference to its sources.

The Afghan Ministry of Economy Prescribe Habyburahman Habib has confirmed that the official representatives of the Afghan Ministry of Commerce arrived in the Russian capital to conclude contracts for the supply of wheat, gas, and oil. According to journalists, some Afghanistan's representatives remained in Moscow after a delegation visit in August. Gasoline supply is expected to be agreed in the near future.

Such negotiations occur against the backdrop of US attempts to convince other countries of the need to reduce Russian oil procurement in order to limit the revenues that Moscow finances its troops in Ukraine. In terms of Russian leadership, as well as Afghan Talibas, there are economic sanctions of the international community, including American ones.

None of the countries, including the Russian Federation, has officially recognized the new Afghan government after leaving the country of US troops. There are sanctions on Afghan banks, so banks of other countries do not carry out operations with the Central Asian Country. Despite the freezing of the assets of the Afghan Central Bank, some countries are doing business with Kabul. For example, thousands of tons of coal from Afghanistan are supplied daily to Pakistan.

Transactions are conducted by private companies, and the Taliban administration receives millions of dollars in the form of export duties. Taliban is an Islamic radical religious current that originated in the first half of the 1990s in Afghanistan among Pushtuna nationality. After the withdrawal of the US troops in 2021, they again seized the country. In many countries, Taliban is considered a terrorist organization.
