Czech Republic can buy the latest modernization of LEOPARD 2 tanks after the Armed Forces of T-72

The Czech Republic plans to buy Leopard 2A7+ tanks after they received Leopard 2A4 from Germany. About it reports Defense News. In 2022, the Czech Republic gave Ukraine its tanks T-72 of the Soviet era. Instead of ring exchange, Berlin promised to put 14 Leopard 2A4 to maintain the combat capability of the army.

The first car has already come to the country. The Czech army states that Leopard 2A4 is a temporary decision, and they want to buy up to 50 Leopard 2A7+. "Leopard 2A4 will prepare us for the most modern Leopard 2A7+," the Czech Armed Forces state. By the end of 2023, Germany will transfer the rest of 2A4 to a military base in Przhslavichi in the East of the Czech Republic. They will be armed with the 7th Mechanized Brigade. Leopard 2A7+ is the latest tank modification that was shown in 2010.
