After meeting with Erdogan and SI. What did Putin get from the trip to Samarkand

Vitaliy Portnikov journalist attentive consideration of the Samhai Summit of the Samarkand's Summit in Samarkand demonstrates that no real results - except for the propaganda - Putin has not reached the Samhayai organization of cooperation (SCO) in Samarkand in the Kremlin. The international isolation of the Russian Federation could not be achieved.

Still! After all, at this summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with leaders of China, India, Turkey and Iran, communicated with the heads of the former Soviet republics - that is, demonstrated that Russia's foreign policy was turning to the "multipolar" world. And if the event does not want to recognize the very fact of the existence of such a world and imposes sanctions against Russia, it is a problem of the event, - writes Vitaliy Portnikov for Radio. Svoboda.

Video day but careful consideration of the summit of the SOS shows that no real results - except, possibly propaganda - Vladimir Putin has never achieved. The greatest expectations were, of course, from his meeting with the head of the PRC, Xi Jinping - especially since this is the first such meeting after the start of a large -scale war against Ukraine. However, despite all the courtesy that accompanied this meeting, she had no specific results.

Western analysts have even said that Russia is gradually turning into an economic and political "vassal" of China and at the same time Beijing tries to avoid any complications in relations with the West that may occur in the event of a conscious and demonstrative violation of the sanction regime. In fact, even before Putin and Xi Jinping's meeting, there was an event that proved that China was not so much an ally as a competitor of Russia.

Before arriving at Samarkand, the head of the PRC visited the capital of Kazakhstan. In negotiations with the President of this country, Kasim-Zomart, Tokaev, was made by his words about the guarantees of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kazakhstan.

But who can threaten this territorial integrity? A recent promptly deleted note on the social network of the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev - just about claims to the territory of Kazakhstan - leaves no doubt about where Kazakhstan's management can see a direct threat.

In the east, Putin and his policies are treated with fears, and they are not even hidden and at the Summit in Uzbekistan interest in communicating with the China's Chairman was much more obvious than the interest in communicating with the President of Russia. And it is also easy to understand. China is the second economy of the modern world. Russia is now not even in the top ten.

Who would you like to communicate with the leader of any country that counts on investment? And what can Putin offer not only Central Asia but also China? Perhaps the project of the economic corridor of China-Mongolia-Russia? The leaders of Russia, China and Mongolia spoke about this "corridor" at a tripartite meeting. And what? The implementation of the project, which was started five years ago, was continued for five years. There is no "corridor", nor.

No one in Samarkand supported Putin's militarism just in the day of the summit again broke out the border conflict between the two allies of Russia, the members of the UDCC - Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The presidents of both countries were in Samarkand and even met with each other. Interestingly, Putin did not even try to make an effort to become a mediator in this settlement, and Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan did not appeal to Russia and the CPU.

But Armenian Prime Minister Nicholas Pashinyan, whose country was also in the day of the summit in a situation of border conflict with the neighboring Azerbaijan, he just appealed to the CPU and Russia-but he did not hear a clear answer. But Putin had a lot of opportunity to demonstrate his interest in the situation at least in the same Samarkand, where he found himself near the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey. And most importantly - no one in Samarkand supported Putin's militarism.

Moreover, the Russian presidential interlocutors spoke with him about peace. "We are working to put an end to the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible," said Turkish President Rezhep Taip Erdogan in the presence of Putin. "I know that today's era is not an era of wars, and I spoke with you on the phone," said Putin India Prime Minister Nari Modi. And the Kremlin ruler had to literally justify himself, to claim that Russia would "do everything to stop it as soon as possible.
