Tents, clothing and generators: NATO promise to pass on the Armed Forces everything you need to fight in winter

According to the General of the Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, all NATO members understand that Ukraine needs large -scale assistance for the Armed Forces and protection of civilian infrastructure before winter. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in an interview with DW that the Alliance should increase the military support of Ukraine before frost. "Winter is approaching, and this was the main execution of the NATO Defense Ministers meeting," the Secretary General said.

"We need to increase the supply of everything from winter clothing, generators, tents, so that Ukrainians can continue hostilities all winter. " In addition to providing the Ukrainian army with everything necessary for normal existence on the front during the cold, the Alliance will also provide Ukraine with weapons that will protect civilian infrastructure. According to Stoltenberg, Ukrainians are already successfully coping with the destruction of Russian missiles and drones.

In the future, this struggle will become even more successful, as the Allies have announced that Ukraine will receive new air defense systems and many ammunition and materials for systems already used by the Armed Forces. The NATO Secretary General evaded a direct answer to the question when Ukraine will receive this help, saying that the systems already put have influenced the war. He emphasized that thanks to this Russia could not achieve preference in the air.

"It was a big problem for the Russian troops throughout the war," said Stoltenberg. "It happened, of course, first of all, because of the skills and determination of the Ukrainian armed forces to use old Soviet air defense means that already had. " According to NATO Secretary General, the Allies first transferred the AFU for the ammunition of old air defense systems, then the supply of modern weapons began.

As an example, he cited with Germany the latest Iris-T air defense system and assured that the importance of such systems would only grow in the future. We will remind, on October 24, German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz assured that Germany will hand over three more IRIS-T to Ukraine as soon as possible. He also promised that Germany, the European Union and partners will continue to support Ukraine as much as needed, and will help with the country's restoration after the war.
