The Armed Forces launched a reliable system to detect drones and missiles of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

Servicemen of the 125th Separate Brigade of Forces of Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine developed a system that identifies air threats by sound. This was known about the publication "Espresso. West". The system called "sound" was created by servicemen who worked in the IT industry before the war.

It allows you to detect drones, rockets and helicopters that fly at low altitude and remain "invisible" for conventional radar stations (radar). The range of drones and missiles is from 3 to 7 km. According to one of the creators Marian Sulima, the complex consists of quite simple components: microphone, mirrors and microcomputer, the total price is about 20 thousand UAH, taking into account delivery and installation.

The microphone captures the noise from the air target and transmits a signal to a protected military network, where data processing centers analyze the information, determine the type of object and monitor its movement in the territory of Ukraine. Marian Sulima added that developers want to create a huge network of small range sensors that cover the whole country. The system works passively, consumes little energy and is found to be hostile to fixing radar.

The military began to implement the program since May and has now launched more than 50 complexes in four regions of Ukraine, which were able to capture dozens of air threats. According to estimates, 600 sensors are required to complete the first phase of network deployment. "The overall system does not allow any air target to find even a spark," Marian said. A serviceman Maxim from the 125th Brigade TE added that the project is now being carried out exclusively by volunteers.

Many experts helped the military by sharing their knowledge and experience. "Such systems function successfully and are in service in other countries, for example, in Israel," he said. - "We have a huge resource, it is only necessary to use it in time, to help a little grants, money and not interfere at the legislative level. Then there will be similar systems, drones and everything you need to win.
