Putin and Gross meeting: The IAEA President insists on creating a safety zone for ZPP

Raphael Grosssey insists on creating a safety area around the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP. The Kremlin head declares that he was "ready to cooperate". Today, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency Agency Grosssey, within his visit to the Russian Federation, met in St. Petersburg with Vladimir Putin. This was reported on the official site of the IAEA. "Now, as never before, in these extremely difficult times, the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant must be installed. We cannot afford more time.

We have to do everything in our power to avoid nuclear accident," - quoted the site Grossi's words. As explained, in recent weeks, the CEO of the Agency has conducted intensive consultations with both Ukraine and the Russian Federation to reconcile and introduce a defense zone around the territory in connection with constant shelling of the nuclear facility as soon as possible. Grossi stressed that the situation at the Zaporozhye NPP is becoming more dangerous and difficult.

At the same time, the leader of the aggressor country in the framework of the meeting stated to the head of the IAEA that Russia allegedly retained "commitment to non-proliferation of military nuclear technologies. " "Of course, we see that the elements of excessively dangerous politicization of everything related to atomic activity are observed today," the Kremlin's head said in particular. He also urged Grossi to help reduce nuclear rhetoric in the world.

"We are very fond of the fact that, thanks to your efforts, we will be able to reduce all this rhetoric on this and turn into normal state of this area of our activity, cooperation, despite all the turbulence and complex processes that happen on the world stage," –– stated Putin, turning to the head of the IAEA. According to Putin, he is ready to cooperate with the IAEA. Last week, the head of the IAEA already met with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
