"We have our people in our Kremlin": there are allies of Ukraine surrounded by Putin - Gur IU
This was stated by a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR MO) Andriy Chernyak in an interview with the Greek edition of IEFIMERIDA. The information comes from thousands of sources, in particular from informants in the higher echelons of the Kremlin and surrounded by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the scout stressed. "There are other battles between special services of warring countries - fierce but quieter.
In the war we use all legal means. We have found mechanisms of cooperation even with very close people to Putin. These people are known as supporters of" Greater Russia ", - explained Chernyak. Mo added that there are many people who do not support his policy on Ukraine and against a full -scale war. They all do it for their benefits, it is in their interests. Some for the sake of saving life, others because of the loss of life, money.
After the invasion of Ukraine, several people lost money and influence very quickly, they do not like it, ”he said. So far, these people are not ready for revolutionary actions. According to Chernyak, everything can change with the weakening of Putin's influence. Ukrainian intelligence services are convinced that the Russian agency operates in Ukraine and other countries - they collect information and prepare shares of subversive or even a terrorist.
As an example, Chernyak called an attempt to kill former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in British Salisbury. "We believe that there is a threat of Russian strikes in European countries. We have seen it in the past and may see in the future. This opinion is supported by the fact that Russia's other actions against Europe, such as energy blackmail, have not produced results," - commented. Chernyak.
Russia's military intelligence is working to neutralize the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine. Experts look for arms transportation routes and try to arrange road accidents. Chernyak spoke about a race for special services for people who can be involved in the transfer of weapons to Kiev or to know something about it. Another big goal is to influence foreign officials and public opinion. That is why the Russian Federation puts a lot of money in the media.
"There are known cases where journalists' work in foreign media is reduced to the fact that they talk to colleagues to influence their opinion in favor of Russia," said GUR MO. The actions of the Russian special services relate not only to Ukraine but also to the European Union, because Putin is interested in the whole of Europe as a "area of influence". If Moscow won Ukraine, it will not stop and go on, Chernyak said.
