In the European Union, an embargo on coal imports from Russia has been launched: where fuel will be taken

Kazakhstan helps European countries to cope with coal dependence on the Russian Federation - the country has almost doubled supply. The European Commission is working on coal purchases in Tanzania and Nigeria. The EU on August 1 came into force on coal importing from Russia. "The EU has introduced a ban on the purchase, import or transmission of coal and other solid fuels produced or exported from Russia since August 2022. EU coal imports are currently 8 billion euros a year," the agency informed. The package of measures prohibits access to EU ports registered in Russia.
