This war is especially acute for the Euro -Atlantic community, in particular, given the unconcealed goals of Russia to destroy the European security order and call into question the viability of democracy as a form of organization of public life. By provoked the threat of the global food crisis and complicating international trade, the extremely serious consequences of Russian aggression have caused Africa, Asia and other continents for many countries.
Russia has not changed its goals for Ukraine, which are to destroy one of the largest states in Europe and destroy the 45 million Ukrainian people. Russia accompanies its aggression with numerous military crimes and crimes against humanity, including conscious murder of civilians, massive missile shelling of peaceful Ukrainian cities, purposeful destruction of civilian infrastructure.
With its heroic resistance and successful liberation operations, Ukraine convincingly proved its ability to stop the aggressor state. Due to the courage and endurance of the Ukrainian people, heroism and professionalism of the Ukrainian armed forces in the world, the understanding of Ukraine will become more stronger, the faster Russia will be convinced of the futility of its attempts to conquer our country, the faster it will be an end to this cruel war in Europe.
Today, a lot has been done to strengthen Ukraine's defense potential. Our state is grateful to more than fifty partner states for their practical military assistance. However, Russia still retains a significant advantage in the number of troops, weapons and military equipment. Russian troops continue offensive actions in eastern Ukraine. The Kremlin is set to further activate the fighting.
The attempt to reveal Russia for its failure in the war against Ukraine, including the threat of a new full -scale offensive of the Russian forces is very real. That is why we turn to all partner states that have already provided military assistance or plan to provide it, with a call to significantly strengthen their practical contribution to strengthening Ukraine's ability to defend themselves, to bring this assistance to a new level.
One of the particularly sharp and most urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine today is to improve their supply with modern armor equipment and to strengthen their fire and maneuverable capabilities with the help of Western tanks. We welcome the bold and very timely decision of the United Kingdom to transfer the first squadron of the Challenger Tanks to Ukraine 2. But this is not enough to achieve prompt goals.
Therefore, we turn to the countries that have LOOPARD 2 tanks, including Greece, Denmark, Spain, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, Finland, Sweden. We guarantee that we will use this weapon responsibly and solely to protect Ukraine's territorial integrity in internationally recognized borders.
We appeal to all these and other countries that have the appropriate opportunities, calling for an initiative to create an international tank coalition in support of Ukraine and make their practical contributions to this initiative. We urge this for the sake of millions of civilian citizens of Ukraine, which continues to threaten the fatal danger from the aggressor state and terrorist state of Russia, unless the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive the necessary strengthening in a timely manner.
