A Ukrainian Warrior who lost both feet in the war became a star of charity evening in Cannes

Alexander Budko with the call sign "Teren" was seriously injured during the liberation of Kharkiv region. The Carpathian Sich Battalion fighter, Rivne, Alexander Budko became the face of the Indposhiv brand and visited the Cannes Film Festival. The brand reported this on his Instagram page. "The Carpathian Sich battalion fighter Alexander Budko with the call sign" Teren "is a true hero of our time. His character and patriotic spirit can not break even the war," - wrote Rivne Mayor Alexander Tretyak.

Alexander Budko became the star of the charity evening, which took place as part of the 76th Cannes Film Festival. The costume for him was created by the Ukrainian brand Indposhiv. The same one that earlier created the famous embroidery with tanks for President Vladimir Zelensky. 26-year-old Alexander Budko lost two legs during a counter-offensive in Kharkiv region. Before the war, he studied for a graphic designer and worked as a barista in a cafe in Kiev.

On the morning of February 24, he was looking for an opportunity to get to the front, and half a year later he became a commander of the platoon of the 49th separate Rifle Battalion "Carpathian Sich" with the call sign "Teren". Budko was seriously injured during shelling. He was held in the village of Barvinkovo, then transported to Kharkiv, Poltava, and then to Kiev. He began to prostheses after three months of recovery.

He has applied to Revived Soldiers Ukraine, which since 2014 has been helping our military. A few months later, Alexander went to the United States, where he made three pairs of prostheses, including for running and crossfit. Now Alexander jokes that he has six legs "like a spider". On his Instagram, a man tells about military everyday life and writes a book - a military biography called "The History of a Stubborn Man".
