The US Ministry of Finance has imposed sanctions against the Russian Innovation Center "Skolekovo"
Within the new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, the US Ministry of Finance introduced restrictions on the innovative center "Skolekovo", which in Russia was sometimes called its "silicon valley". This was reported on the Ministry of Finance's website. The publication lists several Moscow representative offices of the Center.
Among other things, the Skolteck Institute and Technology, Skolekovo Foundation for the development and commercialization of new technologies and Technopark Skolekovo LLC. In addition, 13 new people were on the sanctions list. Among them is the owner of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant Viktor Rashnikov, founder of "Europe" and Svek Andrey Melnichenko, co -owner of Sheremetyevo Airport Alexander Ponomarenko and others.
New sanctions also apply to those whom the Kremlin appointed to manage occupation administrations in the Kherson region: Vladimir Saldo, Cyril Stramousov and the so -called "mayor" of Mariupol Konstantin Ivashchenko. The Moscow Scientific and Technological Complex develops new technologies and is funded by the State Budget of the Russian Federation.
The idea of such a project was due to the proposal of the publicist Maxim Kalashnikov, after which Dmitry Medvedev, who in 2009 held the post of president, instructed the government to implement such a project. Subsequently, the activity of the center was accompanied by a number of high -profile corruption scandals. Earlier, Focus reported that the other day the UK announced a restriction on her citizen - Prokremlivsky blogger Grem Phillips. All his bank assets are frozen.
