Today, Ukraine is a priority for obtaining airfare and anti -missile defense systems that will protect citizens and civilian infrastructure from constant attacks by Russia. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during communication with media representatives after meeting with the President of the European Commission Ursula von Der Lyen in Kiev.

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the presence of modern air defense systems will facilitate, in particular, the return of Ukrainians home from abroad. “The question is to guarantee them safety. This is a difficult question. Safety is a air defense. I do not know how to solve it very quickly, but the air defense and about - this is a priority for us today, ”he said.

According to the Head of State, there are some positive decisions on the supply of Ukraine's anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine and Iris-T. “We expect several Iris-T systems. There have not yet been any. Just as we expect from the United States - and we are grateful for the support of this process - NASAMS, ”the President said. According to the Head of State, Ukraine is active in working on the issue of providing air defense with countries such as France, Italy, Germany.

“He has not received a positive reaction from Israel so far. There are not many states that can guarantee us closing the sky with the sky. And around these states, it is necessary to resolve this issue, ”he explained. The President emphasized the importance of accelerating the process of providing our country with air defense systems, since civilian Ukrainians die daily from the aggression of the Russian Federation.

“We want all states that can give Ukraine heavy equipment to open this window. We are grateful for all the help we are given to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ”he said. The President noted that recent successes at the front, especially in Kharkiv region, were made possible by the Armed Forces and that Ukraine received the help she asked. “Not all, but they got. All actions on the battlefield are specific operations that should be supported by a specific weapon. Then there will be a specific result.
