Denmark intends to limit the entry of tourists from the Russian Federation

The Foreign Minister of Denmark EPPE Cordes hopes that the EU will make a joint decision to ban the issuance of tourist visas to the Russians. About it reports TV2. If there is no success in the introduction of general EU rules, the government is ready to review the rules of Denmark, the minister said.

"If this is not possible to make a general solution, on the Danish side we will look at the possibility of imposing restrictions that will further reduce the number of Russian tourist visas," EPPE Kofod said. The video of the day he stressed that the Russians should not travel and live a luxurious life until the Russian army bombed the cities of Ukraine.

"I think it is very shameful that Russian tourists can sunbathe and live a luxurious life in the south of Europe, while Ukrainian cities have been unrecognizable," the minister stressed. On August 13, Danish Immigration Minister Kare Dibvad stated that the Denmark government was in favor of restricting Schengen visas to Russian citizens. However, he prefers to do so with all EU countries.

The Czech Republic, which is currently presiding the EU Council, will propose to consider prohibiting the issuance of visas to the Russians at an informal meeting of the Foreign Minister at the end of August. The idea of a complete ban on entry into Western countries for the Russians is finding more supporters: except Ukraine, such calls are voicing European neighbors of Russia. Many of them have already closed the borders for Russian citizens.
