He explained this decision by the fact that in the conditions of sanctions, the supply of a large number of details for staffing for this model was blocked. The Lada Xray crossover was stopped in the spring after sanctions against the Russian Federation. Information about the refusal of the model has been circulating for a long time, but in Avtowas for a long time refuted it and assured that the production of Lada Xray would be restored in 2023.

In the Lada Xray design, the share of imported components reaches 40%. The VAZ crossover is built on the Renault B0 platform, so it is simply impossible to simplify it by removing it by removing the airbag and ABS as an example.
