According to him, PepsiCo ordered a hundred Tesla Semi and in the first stage will receive 36 saddles. All of them are going to be used in California: 21 trucks will be based in Sacramento and 15 in Modesto. Tesla Semi electric vehicles with Pepsi carbonated drinks will first overcome short distances - up to 160 km. At the same time, the trucks loaded with Lay's Chips (released by PepsiCo Frito-Lay) are planning to operate up to 685 km away.

In the latter case, almost 20% of the battery charge will remain and it will be possible to charge it in 35-45 minutes from a special fast charging station with a capacity of 750 kW. They will be opened in California, with $ 15. 4 million for construction. Mike O'Connel refused to voice any characteristics or price of Tesla Semi, but said that $ 40,000 from each car is offset by the US government.
