The publication states that it is unclear whether the Russians knew that the group consisted of humanitarian workers. However, the column had distinguishing signs: one of the cars was clearly marked with the Red Cross. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation used laser anti -tank missile. It is usually launched for a clear impact on the target. However, on the white van of the Mercedes-Benz there were no clearly visible medical marks.

At the same time, humanitarian workers were unarmed, but one doctor was dressed in a military camouflage. The rocket flying in parallel to the ground enters the van, destroying it and killing Rida. Recall that Pete Reed's death became known on February 4.
