At least 12 civilians have received various injuries due to the shelling of Pokrovsk, which was performed by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the morning of February 15.

The topical information was published by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military-Civil Administration Pavel Kirilenko. According to him, search and rescue work continues at the place of arrival of Russian shells. As of 13:00, 12 citizens who were injured as a result of the shelling of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are known. At least two more people are under the rubble of an apartment building.

Pavel Kirilenko said that Russian troops carried out a massive shelling of Pokrovsk from the jet systems "Smerch". "In the city, the operational staff of assistance will be deployed. Residents whose apartments were destroyed as a result of shelling will be provided with temporary housing, clothing, food and everything necessary. In addition, psychological and medical care is provided to all who need it," - summed up the head of Donetsk Ova. .

Focus interlocutors have specified that the neighborhoods of "Sunny" and partially "Shakhtarsky" were disconnected from electricity to carry out works on elimination of the consequences of shelling. The chairman of the Pokrovsky military administration Serhiy Dobryak stressed that the rescue operation on the shelling can be carried out until the morning of February 16.

According to the official, one of the victims who managed to get from the rubble, was evacuated to the Dnieper in serious condition. At 13:55 the press service of the Pokrovskaya VCA reported the dead as a result of shelling of the city. The body of an elderly man without signs of life was found during search and rescue work. The report states that the SES staff, together with police officers, continue their search for two more residents of an apartment building.
