Large tire companies sell their Russian businesses and leave the market

The plant was built in 2005 and produced 80% of all Nokian tires (17 million tires per year), with 60% of products exported. In addition, it became known that the buyer for his Russian assets is looking for Bridgestone.

After a careful study of the situation and interests of employees, suppliers and clients, it was decided to give up business in the Russian Federation. The Japanese company believes that it takes several months. Bridgestone in Ulyanovsk has not been operating since March, and all its staff (900 people) are on paid leave.
