A representative of the Poland Parliament stated that the question of how to be with the proposal of Warsaw to provide highly efficient Patriot systems to Ukraine is now being resolved. NATO stated that they would not interfere with the supply of these air defense systems. The German government confirmed that together with the Allies, the German side continues to negotiate the proposal of Poland authorities to send Patriot batteries to Ukraine. Initially, Berlin proposed the Ministry of Defense of Poland, which, like Germany, is a member of NATO, a Patriot system of American production to protect the country's airspace. This proposal took place after two Polish citizens were killed in the area of ​​the Polish-German border last week. However, in response to the proposal, the Polish authorities asked to transfer these Patriots to Ukraine, which are considered the most effective.

"We are discussing with our allies, how to be with Poland's proposal," the German government spokesman said. Recently, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg explained that the Alliance does not intend to block this proposal, noting that it all depends on the decision of a particular country. Polish President Andrzej Duda stated that the decision was made by Germany.

At the same time, Duda said that it would be better for Poland's security if they are installed in the Ukrainian territory near the Polish border. "It would be better from a military point if they were placed in Ukraine to protect the Polish territory. Then they would defend both the territory of Ukraine and Poland with greater efficiency," he explained, adding that the final decision remains on the German side.
