"Any public dissemination of apparently false information, as well as public actions aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, volunteer formations, organizations and persons who assist in the fulfillment of tasks assigned to the Armed Forces, are inadmissible," he said.
According to him, "offenders" are threatened with severe punishment: fines up to five million rubles or in the amount of salaries and other income for up to five years. Also, for statements that are not responsible for the position of Russian authorities, Russians can be sentenced to correctional or forced work for up to five years, or imprisonment for up to 15 years. Volodin added that the second reading will take place on March 2, and in case of support, the final reading - March 14.
It should be noted that the Russian Federation also has administrative and criminal liability for "discrediting" of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
