Iran bought Su-35 fighters in Russia

Tehran will receive 24 Russian aircraft, some of them will be placed on the Air Force Air Force in Isfahan. Prior to that, the Iranian military purchased the MiG-29 Fulcrum fighters from Moscow under the 90s contracts. Iran expects to receive Su-35 fighters and a number of other military equipment from Russia. This was stated on January 15 in a conversation with the Iranian State Agency of Tasnim, a member of the Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy of Parliament Iran, Shahar Haydari.

According to politicians, Iran will be transferred to 24 fourth generation fighters, and they should arrive on March 21. Some of the combat aircraft are expected to be placed on Iran's Air Force Tactical Air Force in Isfahan. Iran ordered a number of other military equipment in Russia - air defense systems, missile systems and helicopters, most of which will be arrived in the near future, Heyari said.

In recent years, Iran has not bought new fighters, except for a few multi-purpose MiG-29 Fulcrum under contracts in the 1990s. The agency notes that Tehran and Moscow have signed agreements to intensify economic, trade, energy and military cooperation. Iranian Air Force Commander Amir Weded, in conversation with Entehab, confirmed information about the purchase of Su-35 fighter fighters in Russia.

Recall that analysts of the American Institute for the Study of the War, on August 2 last year, wrote about the possible departure of the Russian Federation of Su-35 fighter jets to Iran in exchange for Shaahd's percussion drones. On January 10, the United States announced Iran to justice for war crimes in Ukraine. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacks Ukrainian critical infrastructure by Iranian UAVs.
