"Not paying attention to great losses": Russians continue to storm Soledar - a painter

According to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, the approaches of the Armed Forces are littered with the bodies of fallen invaders. There are heavy fights in the Donetsk region for the maintenance of the city of Soledar. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar to her Telegram channel. The painter noted that the Russian military command did not pay attention to the mass death of its servicemen in trying to take Soledar.

"The enemy does not take into account the large losses of his personnel and continues to actively storm. The approaches to our positions are simply littered with the bodies of the dead fighters of the enemy," the Deputy Minister writes. The official also mentioned that Ukrainian soldiers continue to keep the settlement, giving repeling the enemy. "Our fighters courageously keep the defense. Only a very strong nation can fight so desperately with a great and powerful enemy," said Anna Malyar.

The day before, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine also reported that after a failed attempt to seize the soledar of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation regrouped and pulled additional forces to the city to replenish the losses. Anna Malyar indicated that some of the best assault teams of the Wagner group were thrown into Soledar. According to her, the Russians continue the offensive movements literally in the bodies of their dead compatriots.

Focus also reported that on January 9, the head of Donetsk Ova Pavel Kirilenko confirmed the beginning of more intense battles in the Bakhmut direction. According to him, Soledar remains under the control of the Armed Forces, but there is practically nothing left of the city's infrastructure. According to the UK Ministry of Defense's military intelligence of January 10, despite the difficult situation in Soledar, Bakhmut's surroundings by Russian troops are unlikely in the near future.
