As a result of the Russian shelling, an American volunteer Pete Reed was killed, who assisted civilians. The American TV channel CNN published a video that recorded a rocket strike of the Russian Federation's armed forces on February 2 on a volunteer group in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, which led to the death of US citizen Peter Reed. The video was posted on CNN YouTube channel. "Volunteers who work in Bakhmut in Ukraine are not familiar with a familiar cruel violence in the city.

The video obtained by CNN shows how medical workers become the purpose of Russian missiles," the description reads. The video shows that the volunteers hit the controlled rocket, which is probably launched by Russian invaders. Some cars from the column were marked with the Red Cross, but no medical marks were observed by car that became the target of the rocket. It is also evident that the volunteers were unarmed.

The personnel of the death of an American volunteer from the Redea Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has also published NYT. Journalists noted that, judging by the video, Russian invaders were aiming at a managed rocket on a white van, which volunteers used to transport humanitarian cargoes. Recall that on February 2, 33-year-old Pete Reed died in Bakhmut, where he provided medical care to civilians.
