According to the military, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation use AS-15 Kent to distract the attention of Ukrainian air defense from missiles that can cause more harm. Among the missiles, which fired the territory of Ukraine, the winged rocket, intended for the transfer of nuclear warheads, was found. "In the pictures from open sources, the fragments of the whipped cruise launch of AS-15 KENT (X-55), developed in the 1980s, are visible solely as a nuclear delivery system. The warhead was probably replaced by ballast," the latter said in the last analytical British Defense Ministry report. They believe that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation thus tried to distract the Ukrainian air defense from the defeat of long -range missiles.

"Such an inert system will still cause some losses through the kinetic energy of the rocket and unspent fuel, but it is unlikely report.
