SPIRATION Answer: As the Kremlin is trying to justify regular massive shelling of Ukraine

Another tactic is used by the Putin propaganda machine in the war with Ukraine. After the explosions on December 5 in Engels and on the outskirts of Ryazan, where Russian bombers were damaged, the Ukrainian authorities did not confirm or deny it with any comment. The only guesses can only arise from jokes, for example, written by Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the Presidential Office of the President of Ukraine, on social networks.

For their part, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the Ukrainian side was responsible for the explosions, because they have a drone that caused the attack. And this is despite the fact that Ukraine does not have UAVs that fly at least 500-700 km. On the same day, Russia tried to strike a massive rocket strike in Ukrainian cities. Russian propaganda began to broadcast it as "answer" and "reaction" for explosions in its rear.

Under the news headlines like "Answer for Diversion? A new portion of rockets flew to Ukraine", they hinted that it became a "revenge". However, it cannot be called "revenge". In particular, due to the fact that it is not possible to respond to the alleged "provocations" of Ukraine. For a minimum of a week always goes to enemies to prepare a new massive shelling (October 10, October 22, October 31, November 15, November 23, December 5).

This was emphasized by the Head of the Public Relations Service of the Armed Forces Command Yuri Ignat, as well as the edition of The Insider, Bellingcat and Der Spiegel in a joint investigation. In addition, weather conditions can also interfere with the Russians. Shakhda UAVs cannot work properly in hard weather. Frosting, gusty winds and humidity can interfere with their serviceability. In addition, some massive shelling took place in the days when there were no "provocative" events.

Against this background, it is inappropriate to speak about "revenge" and "reaction" of the Kremlin. The reason for shelling can be considered failure of the so -called "special operation". After all, such a tactic of the Russian Federation is not new, because they previously tested it in Syria. The same General Sergey Surovikin, who now heads the Russian army in invasion of Ukraine, in 2015-2017 caused similar blows to the infrastructure of Syrian settlements.
