For years, Russia has built new routes for gas supply to the EU bypassing Ukraine. But Europe has an alternative. These are the main gas pipelines that supply gas from four countries outside the European Union. Against the background of threats from the Russian Federation, their role is growing. Even this year, Russia was the main supplier of natural gas to the European Union. Ukraine had its benefit from this, the territory of which is held by large main gas pipelines from east to west.
