The Netherlands caught a Russian who supplied sanctions and drones in the Russian Federation
Some time ago, he opened an electronics selling company near Denneter. In May, when the European Union imposed sanctions against Russia through an invasion of Ukraine, the man re -profiled his business to the store and started stationery. The investigation began after the bank reported suspicious payments from Russia, and soon the transport company informed the authorities about the sending of sub -goods.
Law enforcement officers concluded that the Russian traded stationery only on paper, and in fact sold chips and other technologies to Russia. Dmitry has forged documents, indicating the company buyer in the Maldives. The prosecutor's office found eight accounts worth about 2 million euros, which were falsified between June and September. During a preliminary hearing in the Rotterdam court, the prosecutor stated that investigators had disclosed the supply scheme.
Microchip other devices on behalf of Russian companies were purchased from suppliers, then delivered to the Netherlands, and from there, with the help of Dmitry, they came to Russia through other countries as smuggling. In the end, chip and other forbidden products were received by the company in Moscow, which cooperates with the State Corporation Rostech, which, for its part, is involved in the military industry of the Russian Federation.
"These technologies were probably used for military purposes," the prosecutor said. In addition to the chips, Dmitry also tried to send unmanned aerial vehicles to Russia - Russian troops use a similar model. There were many pro -Russian images on the Russian phone: almost 6,000 photos with weapons, military and explosions. One of the photos took off a dead Ukrainian soldier. "The defendant believes that we are pressing against him.
But we cannot and should not close our eyes to the social context," the prosecutor said. According to the Russian lawyer Christian Viser, the investigation has no evidence that Dmitry's goods were used by the Russian army. He also claims that a printing error has been overwhelmed in the accounts and the total sales amount is 300 thousand euros.
