Not the last burials: Russian authorities recognized losses in the Belgorod region after the RDC raid

According to the governor of the Pskov region, in the battles with the RDC near the border of Ukraine, the army of the Russian Federation lost almost one and a half dozen soldiers. On June 28, the governor of the Pskov region of Russia, Mikhail Vedernikov, announced 14 soldiers of the Russian army who died during the fighting near Shebekino in the Belgorod region. He told about it in a video address to which Meduza refers.

According to Vedernikov's statement, it is about the loss of Russians as a result of the DRG attack on the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, which occurred in early June. The official confirmed that the burial had taken place, but so far not all dead were: part - waiting. The soldiers who have already been buried from large bows and five districts: the Russian official mentioned the ten soldiers who were captured before, as he said, "pseudo -Russian terrorist organizations".

"Ukrainian fighters" offered them to exchange them, but in fact it was a "trap", Vedernikov assured. However, three people returned to the Russian Federation. At the same time you need to thank Senator Andriy Turchak - it was he who allegedly "forced" negotiations, - the official said.

It should be noted that at the beginning of June 2023 the fighters of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" (RDC) and the Legion "Freedom of Russia" entered the territory of the Russian Federation in the area of Shebekino. At the same time, they had Western weapons, as stated by Western media. The Russian command tried to stop the attacks of volunteers and began to strike on border settlements.

The representative of the Legion "Freedom of Russia" noted that events could unfold in the Bakhmut scenario. On June 6, it became known about the death of the Russian colonel Andriy Stasev - he led a grouping of the Russian army, which tried to counter the RDC. As of June 9, a "gray zone" was formed at the border of Ukraine and Belgorod region, but later the fighters still retreated into the territory of Kharkiv region.

We remind that during the unsuccessful rebellion of the owner of the Wagner PEC, Yevgeny Prigogine, which took place on June 24-25, RDC representatives commented on the events. In particular, the unit commander stated that he was "cheering for Prigogine". Meanwhile, after agreements with President Vladimir Putin moved to Belarus after agreements: he was seen in one of the hotels in Minsk.
