"Constructive approach": Erdogan told how Putin returned to "Grain Agreement"

According to the Turkish leader, it was after his call to the Kremlin head that the Grain Corridor again worked. The presidents talked about the export of fertilizers and agricultural products from the Russian ports in Dzibut, Somalia and Sudan. Russian President Vladimir Putin showed a "constructive approach" when he returned Russia to the Grain Agreement. Turkish President Recep Erdogan said this in an interview with Turkish A Haber.

"Both Putin, and (President of Ukraine Vladimir) Zelensky showed a constructive approach. I am grateful to them until I saw a negative attitude to them. Both were voiced and we met a positive approach," the Turkish leader explained. Erdogan stressed that the Grain Corridor was opened just after Putin's call. The Turkish President also suggested to supply fertilizers and agricultural products from the Russian ports in Dzibut, Somalia and Sudan.

"People are starving there, we thought about taking grain to these countries. Yes, our friends started working. In these countries, the situation is not really good, we are ready to send transport there," Erdogan summed up. The Russian Defense Ministry had previously spoke about returning to the Black Sea Grain Initiative. Officials said the written guarantees from Ukraine that the Grain Corridor would not be used for hostilities.

On October 29, Moscow announced withdrawal from the Grain Agreement and accused Kyiv of attack on the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. The Russian military argued that the Armed Forces had launched drones on Sevastopol allegedly from a civilian vessel intended for grain removal. The Ukrainian authorities believed that the Russian Federation specifically used the moment to shake the situation with food security in the world.
