Belarusian military equipment (photo: the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus) against the background of Russia's war against Ukraine Belarusian troops will take part "in strategic command and staff training" East-2022 in the territory of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus on Telegram. More than 250 Belarusian military will be involved in one of the mechanized brigades of the Western Operational Command.

The training will be held at 13 landfills of the Eastern Military District from Tuesday, August 30 to Monday, September 5. At the end of May, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced that on behalf of Lukashenko they would create a "people's militia". On June 7, the Belarusian Army began with "combat readiness".

Also Lukashenko, who seized power in Belarus, began training with "transition from peaceful in wartime", Ukrainian intelligence reports. British intelligence believes that Lukashenko balances between the support of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the desire to avoid direct military participation with the risk of Western sanctions, a Ukrainian blow in response and possible dissatisfaction in the Belarusian Armed Forces.
