Artificial intelligence compared to nuclear weapons: it will dramatically change the wars

The former Google Director believes that AIs will realize the true revolution in the fighting of the present. "In the mid-1930s, Albert Einstein wrote a letter of Theodore Roosevelt, which said nuclear weapons were able to change wars. I would say that AI was able to do the same," says the words of the former Google CEO, Eric Schmidt, Businessinsinsider. He believes that artificial intelligence will help the United States compete with the world's leading nuclear powers.

Recently, Schmidt's investment fund has invested in the Istari project, a startup on the development of neurotromes, so his words look like a heating of interest in the topic of AI, journalists say. However, experts point out as a fair Schmidt remark that AI is useful to use in combination with drones, autonomous systems and combat control algorithms. Schmidt has now focused on the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into the US Armed Forces.

It is part of a group of investors who attract the financing of various startups working on the development of neurotransities in the military field. He puts the war in Ukraine as an example, emphasizing that high technologies have allowed very quickly to give a decent repeling to the Russian aggressor in the skillful hands of Ukrainians.

Civil drones are processed for military purposes, 3D printing for their production, satellite communications and other technologies-the beginning of a complete rethinking of the hostilities of the present, according to the former Google CEO. And in this aspect, in his opinion, AI will take a leading role. He calls on the Pentagon to work on the use of artificial intelligence in the troops.
