"The case of Ukraine is unique in the sense that from the first day of a full -scale invasion, special services and international institutes recorded these crimes. Evidence could be said about the consideration of cases," Yuris Stukans said. The Prosecutor General of Latvia assures that the perpetrators will not be unpunished later.

In addition, Ukrainian refugees in Latvia continue to share their stories constantly, and their testimony will be taken into account when creating an international tribunal. "Unfortunately, countries are not yet ready to sign the agreement, but Ukraine itself will never lose its rights, and today there are several cases about specific persons. There is no reason to think that someone will go unpunished," Yuris Stukans continued.
