Due to the invasion of Ukraine. The Finnish city has taken away from the Russian Consulate General Church

About it reports the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat. The representative of the Turku Mika Akanen administration said that the reason for this decision is Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine. According to Helsingin Sanomat, Russian diplomats used the building for free for free, which was converted to church.

According to Akkanen, the city has no reason to transfer the buildings for use for free, so the decision to terminate this right is justified. The church is located in the historic district of Luostarinmaki. The Russian Consulate General has to return the building that was used as a church in its original state by August 1. The local resident told the publication that icons and dome had already been taken out in June-July. Residents also noticed how red bricks were taken out of the building.
