The "smart" air defense system will protect against drones, even if they are not seen by radars: what is the secret

Most modern air defense systems cannot identify civilian drones because of small size and invisible materials, but French engineers have solved this problem. The French company MC2 Technologies has developed a new DNA-Drone multi-level system to combat drones. She demonstrated her decisions of IDEX 2023 in Abu Dhab (UAE), reports Army Recognition. DNA-Drone air defense system consists of three blocks connected to each other through the command center.

It is intended to identify, identify, classify and dispose of aircraft, protecting the sky over protected objects. According to MC2 Technologies, commercial drones pose a great danger, but most terrestrial air defense systems cannot detect them because of the low speed and poor visibility of radar.

To solve this problem, the developers have introduced a radar of high frequency (W-band), which combines Doppler and microdopler analysis and radio frequency identifier capable of detecting small civilian drones with special algorithms. When one or more drones are detected, the second DNA-Drone block blocks the link between UAV and its control station. This technology is actuated automatically or by the operator command through the software from MC2 Technologies.

In case of successful influence, the drone loses control and cannot continue the mission. Judging from the image, this task can be performed by an antitrone gun. On IDEX 2023, Edge has introduced its antitrone SkyShield system. It is equipped with sensors, radars, cameras, diaper and depressors to monitor the space of 360 degrees and intercept signals. Such complexes can be installed on military or civilian trucks and easily moved from place to place.
