Russian hackers Killnet attacked hospitals of European countries: who was injured

The attackers stated that they were attacking the medical institutions of those countries that provide weapons to Ukraine. On January 30, Russian KillNet's Russian hackers made DDOS attacks on the sites of the Netherlands and other European countries. In particular, the attack of the University Medical Center of Groningen (UMCG) has been attacked - the site of this hospital does not work regularly, and the attack is obviously passed by waves.

About it reports the Dutch Radio Language Corporation NOS. The publication lists the Z-Cert Digital Safety Partnership Partnership, who reported that this hospital's website is not working regularly, and other organizations have been informed about the threat of attack. "Other hospitals should also pay attention to the attacks. Whoever is injured, I cannot say, but we have informed them so that they could take action," the Z-Cert representative said.

In addition to hospitals in the Netherlands, medical institutions in Scandinavia, Poland, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany were included in the list of injured organizations. Cyberattack organizers argued their actions by fighting the institutions of those countries that support "Ukrainian Nazis". "Everything is very simple. We are destroying medical institutions in these countries with the support of the Nazis in Ukraine.

There are 31 Dutch hospitals in the list," Killnet founder wrote. The authors of the publication specify that the UMCG attacks have only affected the site-an electronic patient card and a website where patients can access information from their cards. "It is very annoying, and we hope it will stop soon. Patients who want to find general medical information may be affected, for example, if they want to know what a certain treatment looks," the UMCG representative said.

Finally, journalists noted that KillNet has increasingly attacked organizations in countries that supply weapons to Ukraine. Organizations in Germany have also been experienced by DDOS-attacks in recent days, but there were no serious problems there, reviewers have specified. Earlier it was reported that according to the Russian DDOS-Guard IT service report, since the spring of 2022, the Russian infrastructure has been subjected to DDOS-Atacus 700% more often than before.
