Darya Gerasimchuk informed Germany and the Netherlands about the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia

Advisor-Presidential Commissioner for the Rights of the Child and Children's Rehabilitation Darya Gerasimchuk held a number of international working meetings to protect the rights of Ukrainian children, violated by the aggressor country. In particular, the office of the Head of State took place with the Authorized Federal Government of Germany in the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid Louise Amstberg and representatives of the German Embassy in Ukraine.

Darya Gerasimchuk also met with the Advisor of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine and Deputy Ambassador Esselin van Erten. Advisor - Presidential Commissioner informed the interlocutors about the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia, as well as the refusal of the Russian Federation to share information with Ukraine about their further fate and place of residence.

In this context, Darya Gerasimchuk spoke about the work of the Children of War, and also voiced the number of casualties (killed, wounded, deported).

She proposed to support the call of the UN General Assembly to the Russian Federation to terminate the deportation of Ukrainian children and to cancel the decision to simplify the procedure of obtaining Russian citizenship for Ukrainian orphans or children left without parental care, as well as to take all necessary measures for their safe return and the GPs 'connection with relatives. Darya Gerasimchuk urged to ask Russia at a high diplomatic level about these children.

She also called for the Russian Federation to recognize the genocide of the Ukrainian people and spread this information among EU partners. In addition, the adviser-the Presidential Commissioner emphasized the inadmissibility of the Russian Commissioner under the President of the Russian Federation on the Rights of the Child Maria Lviv-Belova, who illegally adopted a Ukrainian boy from Donbass and publicly recognized this fact.

Darya Gerasimchuk expressed regret about the unsuccessful cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross on the rescue of children illegally exported from the territory of Ukraine. She noted that the ICCH did not want to accept information from the Ukrainian state bodies, saying that they can receive such data in the format of relevant statements only from parents and close relatives.

But at the same time, it is not possible, because often parents and children are forcibly disconnected when moving, relatives disappear or kill them. In such cases, the state should ensure the rights of children. Darya Gerasimchuk asked to help find possible ways and decisions to organize and implement measures to establish Ukrainian children who were illegally deported from Ukraine to Russia.
