Ukraine needs a victory over Russia, including in energy - President Vladimir Zelensky's address

I wish health, dear Ukrainians! He held a big meeting today as to the energy situation. Participants were government officials, office, energy companies, SES. The theme is diverse. It is also the restoration of damaged objects, protecting generation, ensuring people's access to energy. The state of atomic and hydrogeneration were analyzed separately. Accordingly, the situation at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and at the Kakhovsky hydroelectric power plant.

Russian terrorists have created such difficult conditions for our energy, which no one in Europe has simply seen, has not met. There were no threats that our experts now were forced. And they overcome them with honor. I thank all the employees of the energy industry, our rescuers, repair crews, local government representatives, private companies that work efficiently to maintain the stability of our power system, despite all the threats.

In many cities and districts of Ukraine there are emergency shutdowns of energy supply, it is necessary to limit energy consumption. But we all have to remember one thing: we need a victory over Russia and in the energy sphere. Whatever the enemy did, our task is to break his plans and defend Ukraine. And this is not just someone's task, it applies not only to energy or someone else. Conscious energy consumption is now needed.

Please choose each of your own electricity consumption scheme while there is a shortage in the general power system. The situation on the forefront has not undergone significant changes. The most rigid battles are in the Donetsk region: Bakhmut direction, Avdiivka. There is now the most visible of the madness of the Russian command: the day by day for months they marry people to death, concentrate the maximum capacity of artillery blows there.

All our warriors who hold positions in these areas in the Donetsk region are just heroes. Active actions are ongoing in other directions. I would like to celebrate the soldiers of the 25th Airborne Brigade for bravery when liberating the occupied territories in Luhansk region. In general, we strengthen our positions on the front, reduce the opportunities of the invaders, destroy their logistics and prepare good news for Ukraine.

Today, during the day, air alarm has been several times in most of our country. There are results in the Air Force - the next helicopter of the invaders, the next drones. By the way, the total number of naked Russian screws is approaching 250. The Russian invaders have lost so many equipment - aviation and other - how many armies of the world simply do not have and never have in service. It is not possible to restore these losses of Russia.

I thank all our fighters for such a gradual and irreversible demilitarization of the enemy. We continue to do our best to free our people from the Russian captivity. Today, ten more Ukrainians can finally be reported. Our exchanging team works without interruption. And I want to emphasize again that any of our units can accelerate exchanges on the forefront of captivity of the occupiers. The more Russian military will be in our exchange fund, the faster we will return Ukrainians home from Russia.

Today, President Guinea-Bisau was visiting Kiev. He also presides in the economic community of West Africa. In fact, he is a representative of 15 African countries that are part of this community. And this is the first African leader to visit our country after February 24. In general, we consistently expand our contacts with Africa, fill them with new content. Many negotiations and arrangements occur for the first time in our history.

It is very important that on this continent, where the Kremlin's influence is traditionally significant, they hear the Ukrainian position and know the full truth about what is really going on. We provide it. We also work daily to protect our grain export initiative. Obviously, Russia intends to exacerbate the global food crisis again, to restore the threat of large -scale famine again.

And this, in particular, the responsibility of all our partners is still to guarantee food safety and end this dirty Russian game with starvation. Today, because of the conscious Russian braking of our food exports, the number of vessels that expect the opportunity to fulfill contractual obligations - is already 175. And this is not just some kind of trade problem there.

This is a deterioration in food access to millions of people and the threat of even greater prices for basic products on various continents - both in Africa, Asia, and Europe. If, however, Russia will succeed in a negative scenario, it will end with a new large -scale migration crisis. Russia as a terrorist state is a terrorist in everything and deserves the daily strengthening of international pressure on it. I am grateful to those leaders and those politicians who understand and provide it.
