The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation provoked an ecological disaster in the Dnieper (video)
According to law enforcement officers, as a result of the shelling of the Russian military dams of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station it was damaged by its mechanism of shutter. This affected the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir and the Dnieper, which continues to decline steadily.
According to employees of the Zaporizhzhya Fisheries Patrol, they found a large number of living creatures who were trapped due to uncontrolled discharge of water at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, which was damaged during hostilities. Particularly difficult is the situation in the reservoir along the Dnieper rapids - from the recreation center "Domakh" to the extreme island of Golovchenko opposite the village of Bilenke.
Ecologists who cooperate with law enforcement officers note that the mass sea of fish due to adverse conditions created by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can lead to spawning in the spring. Experts added that not only bioresources but also fodder microorganisms were injured due to the decrease in water. This means that next year's fry fry will also be adverse conditions.
Prosecutors of the Specialized Environmental Prosecutor's Office have already initiated criminal proceedings upon violation of Russian military laws and customs of war. Investigative actions are currently underway to help set the amount of losses. At the end of October 2022, the focus wrote that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation provoked an environmental catastrophe for the ZPP.
Due to the stopping of the power units of the station, the heat does not enter the cooler pond, where there are two types of heat-water fish that performed the sanitary function. We will remind, in early March 2022 the Kherson region was faced with the threat of environmental disaster due to the invasion of Russia into Ukraine. Then the Chornobayivska poultry farm was left without the ability to feed the bird and take out finished products. This caused the death of thousands of chickens.
