The State Duma of the Russian Federation obliged taxi drivers to "drain" the database at the request of the FSB

According to the law, a federal state information system will be created, and Russian special services will have full access to its database. At a meeting on December 22, the State Duma adopted the Law "On Organization of Passengers and Luggage Transportation in Orders of passenger taxi. According to the law, a federal state information system will be created, which will collect, process, systematize and store information from the registers. In addition, the law provides for the creation of three regional taxi registers: a taxi register, a register of carriers with passenger taxi and a register of cars. They contain information about carriers, information about vehicles, as well as the rights to carry out transportation activities.

"Information that will be held in the federal state taxi information system (except for information that is limited by federal laws) will be public," the document says in other words, Russian special services will be legally provided with the opportunity to keep these registers and have access to the information located in the specified information and analytical system.
