It will be easier for the wounded military to leave Ukraine: the Ministry of Health simplified the appropriate mechanism
From now on, medical institutions in which the military are located will be able to independently determine the level of need to refer them for treatment to the territory of another country. Conducting a consultation of a military medical institution that happened earlier is not needed now. In order to obtain a positive decision, it is necessary to send a package of documents to the relevant state body. It is about instances that are part of the security and defense sector.
Without the consultation of the military medical institution, a conclusion is made on the need to send the defender of Ukraine for treatment to another state. Government Head Denis Shmigal commented on the initiative. He noted that this is a significant step to ensure that Ukrainian defenders have the opportunity to go through the necessary rehabilitation abroad faster. "Without tightening, without queues, without bureaucracy," the official said.
Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko stated that now the military will be much easier to obtain a referral for treatment abroad, which eliminates inconvenience for Ukrainian defenders who were injured in the war. According to him, thanks to the decision of government officials, a medical evacuation system is now simplified for the military.
He stressed that one of the main priorities of the profile department is to provide servicemen with the necessary medical and rehabilitation assistance. We will remind, at the end of March it became known that in Vasylkov in the Kyiv region will create a modern center of rehabilitation of defenders of Ukraine. The estimated cost of the project is UAH 100 million.
