The head of the GUR Kirill Budanov is convinced that after the counter -offensive in 2023, Ukraine will cause the final defeat of the Russian Federation and return to the borders of 1991. The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov believes that in the spring of the Armed Forces plan a serious counter -offensive. He told about it in an interview with the American TV channel ABC News.

According to Budanov, in March 2023 the fighting will be "hottest", after which Ukraine will cause the final defeat of the Russian Federation. "This is the liberation of the territories and the task of the final defeat of the Russian Federation. It will happen throughout Ukraine, from Crimea to Donbass," - said Budanov. At the same time, the head of the GUR emphasized that Ukraine would return the borders of 1991.

"Our goal, and we will achieve it - to return to the borders of 1991, as all subjects of international law recognize Ukraine recognize," Budanov added. Earlier, Focus wrote that the head of the GUR Kirill Budanov expects that blows to military objects within Russia will continue. In particular, he noted that there will be more of them and they will take place in the depths of the Russian territory.
